Take time out in seclusion

We all need to take time out on our own in nature, even if we spend every day on our own (which I don't advise) we still need to see, smell and hear those natural sounds that will bring us back to true reality.

How much time do you allow yourself to just 'be?'

When do you get to just sit on a rock and watch the sunrise, or set, listening to the sounds of the birds and insects around us?

I love to run on the coastpath, and there is usually a turning point half way where I can just stop, watch, breath and listen to my surroundings. Usually this is at Greencliff, I stand at the top of the cliff, looking down at the pebbled beach, checking out the patterns of the washed up bladderwrack, watching the waves rolling in and breathing out again. I watch the grass blow in the wind, water dropping off the hedges, gulls swooping over the waves. I take in nature, I take in the beauty of the natural world and it resets me. This is what life is about, it's not about mobile phones, stress, bills, vehicles, material things, it's about the real things that happen, the sun that rises and sets, the moon's phases, the turning of the tide, the life and death of birds, insects and animals, life cycles. This is reality.

When you spend too long in the 'material world' you can lose sight of what is real, you can lose sight of who you are, why you are here and how you should follow the next bit of your path.

Taking time out like this will help reveal the next section of path that you can follow, so when you get home you can write down your plans and dreams and work towards fulfilling those goals.

Only a short blog today, but I feel this is an important message for you.
