Be yourself, no one else can compare to you.

'There can be only one!' Did anyone ever watch Highlander, with Christopher Lambert? I used to be obsessed with that film! Well, anyway, here is a blog today all about how to be you, just you, no comparison with anyone else.

Why?

Because a lot of people don't realise their self-worth. They think they have to be the same, look the same, like the same things as others, like they have forgotten how to be original.

I see young girls, all dressing the same, looking the same, you can barely tell them apart, like clones, completely devoid of any originality or personality of their own. It's a sorry state of affairs. I sometimes dress in a ridiculous way, I stand out, I always have and I don't care. I don't do it to stand out, I do it to be true to myself, to be the most genuine version of me that I can be. I don't want to be like anyone else, and I think that comes with the confidence of actually liking yourself!

I'm a personal trainer, I don't dress like other PT's I don't train clients the same way either, I am unique, that's what sets me apart from others, there is nothing generic about me and how I work, I follow the set rules, the guidelines within my job, but it has my style, my stamp.

How genuine are you to yourself, are you true to what you really want to be? Or are you just fitting in, following like the other sheep.

We all know that person in our life that stands out, there's always an Auntie or someone we remember because they stood out in style of clothes or words, or even actions, they are larger than life, memorable, surely that's the goal? There are people I remember still because of this and they have long since left us, but they are vivid in my mind, their legacy is a good one.

There is no point in just living, blending in and drifting off the earth with no thoughts of you left, what's the point? I am sure that you may disagree with this, but I say, be yourself, be more than just yourself, be true to yourself, stand out, laugh loudly, paint badly, dress weirdly, sing, whistle, skip, whatever it is that makes you unique, big it up!

I am sure that you will feel much better for it.
