It's called self-help for a reason!
I have had an interesting weekend just gone, a lot happened to make me think, contemplate and re-affirm myself in my little world.
I was fairly spoilt for choice for blog subjects after just one day of the weekend, let alone both, but I have chosen a subject today that has been bugging me for a while, and it's a little less full on than the other thing I was going to write about. There's plenty of time for that one!
THIS subject has been bugging me, ever since my menopause qualification and subsequent online guide release.
THIS is the cover of the guide that I wrote, me just sat there in the sand dunes at Instow beach, looking out wistfully into the air, feeling wonderful about ditching my menopause symptoms through exercise, nutrition, sleep and mindfulness!NOT a single whiff of HRT in sight!
I thought that this miracle guide would be epic, it's fully comprehensive, although we know there are hundreds of signs and symptoms of menopause, and they differ for everyone, but I do still reckon, the two main components that would help women on their menopause journey are being ignored because it involves something that they think would ruin their happiness! But surely, surely happiness would be the joy of having none, or very few menopause symptoms?
HERE it is, the two things you need to eliminate from your life, to live your best life, and it's not cutting off limbs or anything, it's a lot simpler than that, give up alcohol, and all sugars, including sugars from carbohydrates, the starch sugars etc....
EASY eh?
APPARENTLY not, because as soon as I tell women this, they switch off, they just do not want to know. It's almost like I've told them that they have to sit in a room on their own for the rest of their life, or all their loved ones are dying around them, the reaction is always dramatic, negative and then the switch off happens.
WHY? Well if I knew that I would be able to adjust my sales pitch accordingly, but you know what women are like? Yep, there is no rule book, women don't even know, so how can a man ever comprehend?
It's like they have this self-destruct button as soon as the oestrogen drops levels, the blinds come down and any positive options are disregarded.
WHY wouldn't you want to live free from hot flushes, weight gain, irrational moods, brain fog, and a thousand other depressing and aggravating symptoms?
IF anyone has any insight into this please let me know? Although I am guessing because because the female of the species is so ridiculously erratic, even the professionals won't make head nor tail of it.
SUGAR, this is the evil in the deal, and alcohol, not only is it a poison to your system, it's full of sugar too. Processed foods, carbohydrates, they are evil.
ALL you have to do is eat a balanced meal, lots of fresh veg, high protein, drink water, exercise regularly and get good sleep. The menopause cure is that simple (unless you do have medical complications of course and for whatever reason you aren't allowed to boost your natural hormones) but the task is an easy one for most.
DOES the enjoyment of a piece of cake outweigh a night of hot flushes and no sleep?
I personally don't think so.
DOES the evening glasses of wine make you feel energised and ready to crack on in your positive future?
Again, I don't think that is possible.
DOES the big fat pasta meal that makes you fat around the middle, moody and irritable, make you feel the best?
It doesn't does it? It really isn't worth it, trust me!
HOW do I know all of this?
I have tried and tested it that's how.
Giving up alcohol was the best thing I ever did for my mental and physical health, and giving up sugar was the second best.
I didn't give up my life, I've learned how to make treats without sugars, and having my mind and body back to great health are better than any sugary carby treat in the world.
I would say have a good long think about it ladies, but it seems there is no telling you. But if you did try it, even for a week or two, you may realise that I am telling the truth, and you could get your life back on track.
Don't be stubborn, give it a go!
