Don't think............feel!

ENTER the dragon is my favourite of all Bruce Lee films, and if you haven't seen it, put it on your 'must watch' list because it is truly epic.

I've named today's blog after a line from the film, and I use it a lot, because we do spend way too much time thinking, or should I say, over-thinking?

HOW often do you go outside wearing the wrong clothing because the weather forecast on the phone told you it would be a certain way? Did you go outside and check the weather yourself? I know it's getting harder to predict the weather these days with all the cloud seeding that is going on, but did you even go outside and see how warm or cold it was?

DO you rely on your gut instinct these days? Or do you just believe what you are told? The way social media is controlling our minds gives me cause to worry that too many people are believing what they read and not enough people are trusting their own judgement on things. You read that a restaurant has amazing reviews, so you trust the people are telling the truth don't you? And when you see there are a few bad reviews, do you ignore them because the rest are good? Or do you think to yourself, they can't be that amazing, maybe I will try another place?

I like to listen to what people think, but ultimately I need to make up my mind myself, I do trust my gut instinct, and in the past I ignored it and that was when I failed at life for a few years, I trusted people I shouldn't have, because others thought they were okay. My gut didn't lie and from then on I have been wary of others opinions, you are the true judge of what is right or wrong in your life.

SO how do you switch off your thinking?

MEDITATION is a great way of doing this, hypnotherapy is epic for this but you can't do it all the time. Walking out by yourself in nature, sitting in the woods or in a quiet bay, those are the times you stop thinking and start feeling. Ask yourself, how do I feel about 'insert situation' look deep into yourself, dive into your emotions, use that gut instinct.

IF you try and do this at least on a weekly basis, if not a daily one, you may find the answers to your problems easier, over-thinking never helped anyone solve anything.

TAKE time out, breathe and relax, don't focus on the solution, but focus on how you feel about the situation, then it will become clear.

TRY it this week and let me know how you get on.
